Professional Qualifications & Scope of Practice
Soulogy is operated by a qualified clinical hypnotherapist with formal training in DeTrauma Hypnotherapy, Clinical Reflexology, and integrative wellness modalities. Services provided through Soulogy include clinical hypnotherapy, trauma-informed subconscious work, somatic regulation, and energy-based practices.
These services are offered as complementary wellness modalities and are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment. The qualifications held do not constitute medical licensure. Soulogy does not diagnose medical or mental health conditions, provide medical or psychiatric treatment, or prescribe medication.
Consultation with Medical & Mental Health Professionals
It is your responsibility to inform your GP, psychiatrist, or psychologist that you are seeking hypnotherapy or energy work. If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, we strongly recommend obtaining their informed consent before beginning any program with Soulogy.
Hypnotherapy may affect medication efficacy or psychiatric symptoms. Your medical team needs to know about all modalities you are using.
Energy Work & Biofield Therapies
Soulogy integrates energy-based practices (energy field clearing, chakra work, biofield alignment) as part of holistic wellness. These practices are not scientifically proven medical treatments.
While emerging research suggests biofield therapies may have effects on stress, mood, and HRV (Heart Rate Variability), they are not regulated as medical interventions in Australia and should not be relied upon as primary treatment for any medical condition.
Energy work is offered as a complementary modality to support overall wellness and psychological resilience.
EMDR-Informed Hypnotherapy
The DeTrauma Protocol incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) principles within a hypnotic framework. This is not the same as formal EMDR therapy delivered by a certified EMDR practitioner.
While EMDR is recognised as an evidence-based treatment for PTSD, the hypnotic integration offered at Soulogy is a complementary adaptation and may not carry the same clinical evidence or outcomes as formal EMDR.
Potential Risks & Contraindications
Hypnotherapy is generally safe, but potential temporary effects may include:
- Emotional release or catharsis (tears, laughter, intense feelings)
- Temporary increase in awareness of uncomfortable emotions or sensations
- Vivid dreams or sleep disturbances
- Mild dissociation or "spacing out" after sessions
Hypnotherapy may not be suitable for:
- Active psychosis or untreated severe mental illness
- Individuals unable or unwilling to consent
- Recent significant trauma (may require stabilisation first)
- Certain seizure disorders (discuss with your doctor)
Discuss any medical conditions, medications, or psychiatric history during your consultation.
No Guarantee of Results & Individual Outcomes
Outcomes vary between individuals. While Soulogy’s methods are informed by clinical research, neuroscience, and evidence-based principles, no guarantees are made regarding specific results, emotional state changes, behavioural outcomes, or the resolution of habits, trauma, or life challenges.
Individual responses differ due to variations in psychology, neurobiology, personal history, and life circumstances. Any testimonials or examples shared reflect individual experiences only and do not represent typical or guaranteed outcomes.
Meaningful change requires:
-
Active participation and engagement
-
Completion of between-session practices
-
Openness to the process
-
Time, as change is a process rather than a single event
